At the 2019 Geneva International Watch & Clock Fair, various brands showed us new levels of watch design. The styles are varied and novel, the functions are varied and chic. Among them, the most individual watch is a series of cases launched by the Richard Mill brand, from more than 1 million ‘Marshmallow’ watch designs to this fresh and romantic rouge powder The new profile design changes the stereotype of Richard Mille in the past, and reflects the diversified development direction of a top watchmaking brand, but the same is still the strong craftsmanship, the same is still the super Strong performance level, let us appreciate this watch together.

Watch real shot chart display:

Integration of movement, dial and case

The bottom plate and bridge plate are made of grade 5 titanium alloy, which has extremely high biocompatibility and corrosion resistance. It is an excellent hard alloy that allows the gear transmission system to operate perfectly without hindrance. This alloy is arc plasma treated and consists of 90% grade 5 titanium, 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. This combination optimizes the mechanical properties of metals and is therefore commonly used in aerospace and automotive manufacturing. Both the hollow base plate and the bridge plate are thoroughly and intensively tested to optimize their strength.

RICHARD MILLE uses ceramics with new colors to make RM 16-01 RÉGLISSE watches: rouge powder and yellow TZP composite ceramics. This low density material (6 g / cm3) has excellent scratch resistance and extremely low thermal conductivity. TZP ceramics contain 95% yttrium-stabilized zirconium compounds with clear texture and perfect finish. TZP composite ceramics are known for their excellent scratch resistance (1400 Vickers hardness), which can effectively improve pigment stability. To create the complex contour of the bezel, the craftsman used diamond tools to carry out a long and complicated processing and molding operation.

Non-slip crown

The bracelet of the RM 16-01 RÉGLISSE is made of platinum, satin-finished, micro-blasted and hand-polished. The three-layer case of the watch has a water-resistant depth of 30 meters, added two nitrile rubber O-rings, and is assembled by 12 grade 5 titanium spline screws and 316L stainless steel wear-resistant washers.

Pro-new, light blue strap design

The exclusive variable geometry automatic disk design of RICHARD MILLE, the RM 16-01 movement uses a variable geometry automatic disk system to optimize the winding power of the automatic disk. For example, whether the wearer is in a sports environment, so as to adjust the winding strength of the mainspring most effectively. Adjust the inertia of the automatic disc by adjusting the six-speed position setting of the flap. Therefore, if the wrist is swung less often, the movement will speed up the winding speed, and if the wearer performs vigorous exercise, the speed of the winding will slow down.
The dual barrel arrangement helps increase long-term stability of the torque. By distributing the stored power to two, instead of one winding barrel, this increases the number of rotations and reduces the pressure on the gear teeth, bearings and pivot bearings, thereby achieving the long-term improvement of timing performance. Grade 5 titanium alloy spline screws for bridge and case can better control the screw torque during assembly. Therefore, they are not affected by the disassembly process at all, and they are less prone to aging.
It is worth mentioning that this watch has a power reserve of approximately 55 hours (± 10%).
